POETRY BOOK: LONELY EYES

BOOK DESIGN | EXPERIMENTAL TYPOGRAPHY

The poetry book challenged me to take a song or poem I liked, and to create an expressive typography book out of some of the lyrics. I chose one of my favorite songs at the time, Lonely Eyes by Lauv, and aimed to capture the exact vibe the song gave me. It’s a bit of a moody song, and to match its theme of isolation I used a lot of images that invoke that feeling of being lonely. Then, using typography, I experimented with repetition and scale to have each line and page unique.
